Metode: Iskanje literature smo izvedli v splošnih podatkovnih zdravstvenih in medicinskih zbirkah: Cochrane Library, PEDro in PubMED. Rezultati so pokazali učinkovitost fizioterapije glede izboljšanja funkcionalnega statusa in zmanjšanje bolečine.

Sekundarni naslov: Physiotherapeutic rehabilitation of patient after disc herniation surgery in the lumbar spine
Sekundarni povzetek: Introduction and purpose: One of the reasons that causes low back pain is herniated disc. It most commonly occurs in the young or middle-aged generation. Herniated disc can be treated conservatively or operatively. The main purpose of the thesis is to review the scientific literature and to compare various physiotherapy therapies after disc herniation surgery in the lumbar spine and their effect on the pain and function of the lumbar region. Methods: The search of literature was obtained in the following online databases: Cochrane Library, PEDro and PubMED. The inclusion criteria were: randomized controlled trial, published after year 2008, rehabilitation after disc herniation surgery in the lumbar spine, laminectomy, discectomy, microdiscectomy, trials in English language, score 4 or more on the PEDro scale. Results: In literature review were included 10 randomised control trials, that studied the effects of physiotherapy procedures after disc herniation surgery. Among them, several reported that physiotherapy is effective on improving the functional status and reducing pain. Usability: Comparison of the effects of various interventions on pain and functional status. Restraints: Research that do not have access to the full text, pacients with diagnosis of disc herniation in the lumbar spine, which were not treated surgically, patients with a diagnosis of disc herniation, which is not present in the lumbar spine, literature review studies, research that has not yet been completed and research older than 10 years.
