Sekundarni povzetek: | Security in the field of information technology is a growing concern. The use of the World Wide Web and the cloud brings about a great number of exchanges and downloads of unreliable data, the use of vulnerable web applications and the misuse and/abuse of personal data. Rapid technological development has led to the adoption of a new General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) by the European Parliament and the Council after more than 20 years of the old directive (Directive 95/46/EC) on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing of personal data. The new regulation will not only increase data protection but also bring greater awareness to the subject of security. The 99-article regulation imposes new rights and obligations on individuals as well as all public and private companies and represents an excellent opportunity to properly address the security and protection of data. |
