Povzetek

Izhodišče in namen: Tekom kliničnega usposabljanja študentov prihaja zaradi različnih dejavnikov do incidentov, težava nastopi, ko le-ti ostanejo zamolčani. Zato je bil namen zaključnega dela raziskati doživljanje študentov zdravstvene nege ob danem incidentu v kliničnem okolju. Raziskovalna metodologija in metode: Uporabljena je bila kvalitativna metodologija raziskovanja in deskriptivna metoda dela. Podatke smo zbrali s pomočjo delno strukturiranih intervjujev. Uporabili smo neslučajnostni namenski vzorec. Analizo zbranih podatkov smo opravili z metodo tematske analize besedila. Rezultati: Identificirali smo tri glavne teme: doživljanje neprijetnih občutkov ob pojavu incidenta, ravnanje ob pojavu incidenta in vzroki incidentov. Študenti zdravstvene nege se ob pojavu incidentov, ki so posledica individualnih in organizacijskih dejavnikov, počutijo neprijetno. Ustrezno ukrepajo v primeru poškodbe z ostrim predmetom. Do razlik prihaja v poročanju incidentov, predvsem zaradi strahu pred stigmatizacijo. Predlagamo vključitev teoretičnih vsebin in izvajanje klinične supervizije v zdravstveni negi v okviru teoretičnega in kliničnega usposabljanja.

Sekundarni naslov: Nursing students´ experience of incidents in clinical environment
Sekundarni povzetek: Introduction and purpose: Different factors that affect nursing students' clinical training lead to various incidents. The problem arises when those incidents are being withheld. The main purpose of this thesis, therefore, focuses on the research of the experiences nursing students endure through given incidents in the clinical environment. Research methodology and methods: We used qualitative research methodology and a descriptive research method. We collected the data through semi-structured interviews where we used a non-probability sampling pattern. The analysis of the collected data was done through a thematic analysis method. Results: We identified three main topics: experiencing unpleasant feelings during the occurrence of an incident, acting during the occurrence of an incident and the causes of incidents. When such incidents – resulted by individual or organisational factors – occur, nursing students feel uncomfortable. They take appropriate action in the case of a sharp object injury. There are some distinctions in incident reporting that are mainly due to fear of stigmatization. Discussion and conclusion: It is necessary to create a more trusting relationship and setting between the employees in the clinical environment, clinical mentors and nursing students, as well as to establish a non-blaming learning culture. It is vital that the nursing students know how to react when incident occur and have support from clinical mentor. Incidents need to be discussed both; in the clinical setting as well as at the university. We suggest the incorporation of theoretical contents and the implementation of clinical supervision that should be structured through theoretical and clinical training in nursing.
