Povzetek
Vedno večji interes se kaže v razvijanju bio-osnovanih polimerov, ki so biorazgradljivi in zmanjšujejo uporabo fosilnih goriv. V diplomski nalogi sem se osredotočila na razvoj laminata, ki je vsaj delno biorazgradljiv – pomeni, da je na notranji strani materiala namesto dragih umetnih materialov kot sta poliviniliden klorid ali polietilen tereftalat, sirotka na katero je nanešen premaz hitozanskih nanodelcev z ujetimi naravnimi ekstrakti rožmarina oziroma cimeta. Tako se lahko vsaj del laminata razgradi pod normalnimi pogoji, s tem pa omogočimo tudi lažjo reciklažo. Dodatno pa sem z nanosi nanodelcev naredila aktivno embalažo, ki deluje protimikrobno ter antioksidativno, s tem pa lahko občutno vplivamo na trajanje roka živil in ga podaljšamo. Ustreznost sirotkine folije kot del laminata so pokazali testi narejeni z metodami, kot so goniometrija, gravimetrija, ATR-FTIR ter ABTS test.

There is a growing interest in developing bio-based polymers that are biodegradable and reduce the use of fossil fuels. In my thesis, I focused on the development of laminate, which is at least partially biodegradable - meaning that on the inside of the material, instead of expensive artificial materials, such as polyvinylidene chloride or polyethylene terephthalate, is a whey-based coat with chitosan nanoparticles with captured natural extracts of rosemary or cinnamon. Thus, at least part of the laminate can be decomposed under normal conditions, thus enabling easier recycling. In addition, with the application of nanoparticles, I made active packaging that has antimicrobial and antioxidant effects, which can significantly affect the shelf life of food and prolong it. The suitability of whey-based foil as part of the laminate was demonstrated by tests made with methods such as goniometry, ATR-FTIR and ABTS test. |
