Povzetek

Uvod: Zvin gležnja je zelo pogosta mišično-skeletna poškodba, za katero najpogosteje uporabljamo konvencionalno obliko zdravljenja. Klinične smernice priporočajo izvajanje proprioceptivne vadbe, ki naj bi vključevala ravnotežne aktivnosti in tehnike spodbujanja funkcionalnega gibanja z namenom izboljšanja moči gležnja in koordinacije. Pomanjkanje proprioceptivne informacije lahko vodi v ponovne poškodbe in kronično nestabilnost gležnja. Metode: Iskanje literature je potekalo v podatkovni bazi Web of Science.

Sekundarni naslov: ǂThe ǂeffect of training programs on increasing proprioceptive input to improve ankle stability after sprain - literature review
Sekundarni povzetek: Introduction: Ankle sprain is a very common musculoskeletal injury, for which the most frequently used method is conventional treatment. Clinical guidelines recommend the implementation of proprioceptive training, which should include balance activities and techniques that promote functional movement in order to improve ankle strength and coordination. Lack of proprioceptive information can lead to re-injury and chronic instability of the ankle. Purpose: The purpose of this undergraduate thesis is to review the literature on the impact of various training programs on increasing ankle stability after its sprain. Methods: The literature search was executed in the Web of Science database. The included studies were accepted based on the inclusion and exclusion criteria. The literature was searched in English with the following keywords: proprioceptive training and ankle sprain. Results: During the literature search 36 articles were reviewed and 7 were included in the literature review. Research results show that individual forms of training, that have been studied, have positive effects on ankle stability and reduce the risk of injury recurrence. Discussion and conclusion: Literature review has shown that including various forms of training in order to improve ankle stability in physiotherapy treatment is beneficial. Due to various advantages and disadvantages of each training it is necessary to adapt the training program to each individual. It is also important that the exercises are function-oriented and that they improve specific skills that can be transferred to daily activities.
