Laiki so slabši poznavalci.

Sekundarni naslov: Knowledge of basic life support among emergency medical staff, healthcare professionals and lay people
Sekundarni povzetek: The master's thesis shows the knowledge of the basic procedures of resuscitation with an emphasis on such knowledge among emergency medical staff, other healthcare professionals and lay people. The research is based on quantitative methodology. A survey questionnaire was used as a measuring instrument. Hypotheses were tested using the statistical package SPSS V24. We have found that there are no statistically significant differences in the assessment of the common knowledge of BLS among emergency medical staff, other healthcare professionals, and lay people. Differences have however appeared in individual questions regarding the knowledge of providing BLS, where such knowledge of lay people was noticeably worse. It was confirmed that there are statistically significant differences in the knowledge of BLS for children from 1 to 8 years between lay people and other healthcare professionals, and between emergency medical staff and other healthcare professionals. Lay people are less knowledgeable. Statistically significant differences in the reasons for non-participation in courses, being the unavailability of a course, lack of interest and an already sufficient knowledge, were observed between lay people and other healthcare professionals, and between emergency medical staff and lay people. The survey findings tell the profession where changes need to be made and draw attention to the introduction of courses and training on BLS among all healthcare employees as well as among the rest of the population. The public can learn about the correct BLS as well as about incorrect approaches to it from the content of this thesis and from the survey results. The good knowledge of resuscitation today is by no means guaranteed to be a good knowledge in the future, therefore it is crucial that we continually update it.
