Sekundarni povzetek: | This master's thesis presents the problems that students face in dealing with a set of integers and arithmetic operations on this set. The use of different representations is crucial for an in-depth understanding of concepts by students and an effective interpretation of the explanation given by teachers. These represent the link between the context and symbols. The thesis offers an overview of approaches to teaching integers in primary school and highlights their advantages and disadvantages and their applicability in various arithmetic operations. A review of the presence of representations in domestic and foreign materials was performed, based on which instructional materials were prepared for consolidating and deepening the knowledge of the set of integers. The materials are based on the diversity and variety of representations. The effectiveness of the prepared materials was tested in a case study, which included one student. The results showed that the variety of uses of representations contributed to the understanding of the material to some extent and that the approach was liked by the student. |
