Proučili smo slovensko in tujo strokovno literaturo.

Sekundarni naslov: Views of health care professionals in health centers on influenza vaccination
Sekundarni povzetek: Influenza (the flu) is a contagious viral disease affecting respiratory organs, which transmits the airborne route through droplets, and most often during winter. The most efficient way of protection against the flu is vaccination. The vaccination is recommended for pregnant women, children, seniors over 65, chronic disease patients, and all healthcare workers. As the vaccination coverage in our country is very low — especially in the case of healthcare workers — it is crucial to raise people’s awareness of the importance of vaccination against the flu. Quantitative methodology and descriptive method were used. We studied both Slovenian and foreign literature. We performed the research with a survey questionnaire which was forwarded to different health centers in the Styria region. The data was processed with descriptive statistics and presented in the form of tables and graphs. We found out that the vaccination coverage with the healthcare professionals in health centers was larger compared to other researches. The interviewees are vaccinated mainly to protect themselves, their relatives, and their patients. The reason for not getting vaccinated is a fear of side-effects and good health conditions. The vaccination coverage would increase with free vaccination during working hours, a greater number of vaccination points, and through raising awareness of flu vaccination. Although the vaccination coverage with the healthcare professionals in health centers is quite good, more than half of them still do not get vaccinated because of different beliefs. They are mostly convinced that vaccination should not be mandatory and that the decision should be made individually. The spreading of the flu could be well prevented with good personal hygiene habits and other protection measures.
