(diplomsko delo)
Povzetek
Teoretična izhodišča: Mejna osebnostna motnja je najpogostejša osebnostna motnja. Zanjo so značilni nestabilni medosebni odnosi, intenzivna čustvena nestabilnost in impulzivnost. Te značilnosti povzročijo napačno dojemanje samega sebe in okolice. Osebe s to boleznijo s svojimi dejanji škodujejo sebi in predvsem ljudem okoli njih.
Raziskovalne metode: V diplomskem delu smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo dela, pripravili smo sistematični pregled literature. S pomočjo vključitvenih in izključitvenih kriterijev smo pregledali mednarodne podatkovne baze MEDLINE, CINAHL, COBISS in Google Učenjak. S PRISMA diagramom smo prikazali potek iskanja relevantne literature.

Life with an individual with borderline personality disorder |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Theoretical background: Borderline personality disorder is the most common personality disorder. It is characterized by unstable interpersonal relationships, intense emotional instability and impulsivity. These characteristics result in an incorrect perception of reality and surroundings. People with this disease harm themselves and especially the people around them through their actions. Sharing life with someone who has this disorder is difficult and stressful. Relatives and loved ones face unpredictable behaviour, threats and constant conflicts. The purpose of the thesis was to investigate how individuals experience life with a person with borderline personality disorder and what problems they confront.
Research methods: In this thesis, we used a descriptive method of work; also, we prepared a systematic review of the literature. With the help of inclusion and exclusion criteria, we reviewed the international databases MEDLINE, CINAHL, COBISS, and Google Scholar. The PRISMA diagram was used to present the search process for relevant literature.
Results: After data analysis, we discovered that relatives living with a person with a borderline personality disorder often become their guardians. By taking care and responsibility for a person with this disorder, they experience mental and physical strain. Stress, anxiety, family conflicts, depression, social exclusion, feelings of anxiety, shame, helplessness, guilt, and sadness occur.
Discussion and conclusion: Relatives of people with borderline personality disorder are socially invisible. By taking care for a sick person, they experience a great burden and neglect their needs. Above all, they lack social support and knowledge that would allow them a better understanding of the disease and a more effective approach to making life with the person with this disease easier. |
