diplomsko delo

Spelling awareness of preschool teachers in kindergartens in Pomurje region and their view on their own professional development in the linguistic area |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
In my degree paper, I primarily focused on the grammatic awareness of kindergarten teachers in Prekmurski kindergartens and their point of view on professional development. The theoretical part will define literary and colloquial language as well as present the role of the Slovenian language in the field of education. I learned the entire process of education is conducted in the formal Slovenian language. In the places with national minorities where there is the present influence of another language pedagogy workers especially need to excel in their knowledge of the Slovenian language. The key element is the quality of communication skills. About which we must be critical about and keep improving them. The main theoretical part links the following imperial part by showing the structure of a formal invitation and notice. Slovenian language is constantly changing in line with today's society; therefore, kindergarten teacher must be able to search for innovative ways on how to better their known knowledge and discover ways to seek a new one. This is closely connected with professional development which enables career and personal growth. Every pedagogy worker knows how to get around in various stages of professional development. Susceptibility to change, self-criticism, and desire for growth are different in every one of them. The continuation of education is mainly dependent on the individual but co-workers and directing staff are also crucially important. Discoveries deliver changes that must be introduced into the workspace in a way that brings quality for an extended amount of time. In the imperial part, I will show the results of a questionnaire that was filled out by 63 kindergarten teachers working in Prekmurski kindergartens. The questionnaire was conducted in line with the quantitative paradigm. In addition, I used the descriptive method of pedagogy research. The results showed that former education and knowledge of orthography are unconnected. Concerning the question in which participants had to form a short official text, we can see there were made an average of 5.31 mistakes, that were mostly of the orthographic kind. It was proven that the participants possess a bad pragmatic ability, as nobody implemented the necessary elements of an official text completely correctly. Results show that asked kindergarten teachers do not participate and are uninterested in any additional linguistic educational plans. Kindergarten teachers take up a crucial part in the educational process of children therefore they should be more aware of the linguistic importance and correct use of Slovenian formal language. Research showed that the participants do not excel in orthography and pragmatical abilities or are limited abilities at an incredibly low level. Because they are role models for young generations, they should and have to be more self-critical and motivated for funder education in linguistic skills. |
