Metode: v zaključnem delu smo izvedli sistematični pregled literature znanstvenih in strokovnih člankov v tujem jeziku. Literaturo smo iskali v naslednjih podatkovnih bazah: PubMed, CHINAL in Medline. Potek iskanja literature smo predstavili v PRISMA diagramu. Zbrane podatke smo analizirali in sintetizirali.

Sekundarni naslov: Hypothermia during surgery at adults
Sekundarni povzetek: Abstract Introduction: Hypothermia is a common phenomenon that occurs before, during and after surgery and is crucial for the patient‛s recovery. Hypothermia i often one of the causes of bleeding, wound infection, poor wound healing and, last but not least, the cause of prolonged hospitalizations. Purpose of this final work is to describe the prevention of hypothermia during surgery at adult patients. Methods: In the final work we reviewed the literature of scientific and professional articles in a foreign language. Literature was searched in the following databases: PubMed, CHINAL and Medline. The course of literature search was presented in the PRISMA diagram. The collected data were analysed and synthesized. Results: The onset of hypothermia before, during and after surgery is of great importance, both for the success of workers in treating the patient, as well as for the overall satisfaction of the patient. By maintaining normothermia and preventing hypothermia during surgery, healing of surgical wounds is improved, the possibility of blood loss is reduced and hospitalization time is reduced, and consequently treatment costs are reduced. Discussion and conclusion: Failure to prevent hypothermia can lead to life threatening and, last but not least, uncomfortable complications fort the patient, prolonging treatment and increasing the financial burden on healthcare. It is very important to measure the body temperature of patients before, during and after a surgery. Awareness is escalating, but there is still too little emphasis on the importance of hypothermia and complications to be able to talk about it as a problem of the past.
