(diplomsko delo)
Raziskovalne metode: Pri pisanju diplomskega dela smo uporabili deskriptivno metodo. Tujo literaturo smo iskali v mednarodnih bazah podatkov: PubMed, Science Direct, CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature). Za iskanje ustrezne literature smo uporabili ključne besede v angleškem jeziku, ki smo jih vnesli v posamezno bazo podatkov z uporabo Boolovih operatorjev AND in OR. Duplikate najdene literature smo odstranili s pomočjo programa Mendeley.
Medicinske sestre izpostavljajo psihološke učinke soočanja s situacijo, težko in stresno oskrbo darovalca.

Experience of nurses in the nursing care of a dead brain donor |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Introduction: Brain death is defined as the absence of brain and brainstem function. The process of proving a diagnosis of brain death can begin in a person who has clinical signs of apnea unresponsive coma, that is, a state of deep unconsciousness in which no spontaneous respiratory movements are shown, the person has no brainstem reflexes. The purpose of the study was to highlight the live experiences of nurses nursing a brain death donor.
Methods: We used a descriptive method when writing the thesis. The method of data review, analysis and synthesis was used. Foreign literature was searched in international databases: PubMed, Science Direct, CINAHL (Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature). To search for relevant literature, we used keywords in English, which we entered into an individual database using Boolean operators AND and OR. Duplicates of the literature found were removed using the Mendeley program.
Results: Six articles related to the reviewed topic were included in the research. The process of organ donation and the care of an organ donor is difficult and stressful for nurses, and different feelings and emotions arise. Nurses highlight the psychological effects of coping with the situation, the difficult and stressful care of the donor. Studies show that the daily work of intensive care nurses caring for organ donors and their families is fraught with barriers that interfere with the donation process.
Discussion and conclusion: The experience of nurses is crucial for the creation of new knowledge, it is advisable to talk about the emotions and feelings of nurses, for their consolation and thus help colleagues. The professional qualifications of nurses are stronger through sharing experiences and the possibility of development is higher. |
