magistrsko delo št.: 122/II. GIG
Povzetek
V magistrski nalogi smo obravnavali slovenski tradicionalni čoln Batela.

Reverse engineering on the example of the traditional Slovenian vessel Batela |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
In the master's thesis, we discussed the Slovenian traditional vessel Batela. The only surviving specimen is in the Maritime Museum on the premises of the former Monfort salt warehouse. It is 6 m long. It is in a very dilapidated condition and without a mast, seat and handlebars. To make the reconstruction and visualization, the museum needed a CAD model of the boat. The source data for making the plans is a cloud of laser scanning points. The process of making plans for an existing boat is called reverse engineering due to the chosen approach. The point cloud was processed in Leica Infinity and prepared for import into Civil 3D in Recap. In the Civil 3D program, we drew characteristic profiles on the point cloud with the help of cross-sections, which were the starting point for plotting plots and creating a CAD model. The manufactured model can be exported to the necessary formats for production in physical form by various processes such as 3D printing or milling. With the reconstruction of such facilities, we preserve the cultural heritage, which also serves us for educational purposes and to make people aware of old customs. |
