Povzetek

Porozni polimeri so zaradi svojih specifičnih lastnosti (visoka poroznost, nizka gostota, visoka specifična površina, pretočnost itd.) perspektivni materiali s širokim spektrom aplikacij. Najprej smo s tehniko sintranja poli(metil metakrilatnih) (PMMA) zrn pripravili trden polimerni nosilec, v notranjost katerega smo prenesli emulzijo z visokim deležem notranje faze (HIP emulzijo) tipa voda v olju. Vse vzorce smo okarakterizirali še s porozimetrijo po BET (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) metodi in preverili njihovo sestavo s Fourierovo transformacijsko infrardečo spektroskopijo (FTIR) in elementno analizo.

Sekundarni naslov: The use of mixed templates for the preparation of hierarchically porous polymers
Sekundarni povzetek: Due to their specific properties (high porosity, low density, high specific surface area, flowability, etc.), porous polymers are promising materials with a wide range of applications. The purpose of the thesis was the preparation of highly porous polymer using a combination of two techniques to achieve a porous structure. A solid polymer scaffold was prepared using the technique of sintering poly(methyl methacrylate) (PMMA) beads. A high internal phase emulsion (HIPE) of the water in oil type was applied protruding into the cavities of the scaffold. We used trimethylolpropane tris(3-mercaptopropionate) (TMPTMP) and divinyl adipate (DVA) as monomers. In our case, the internal phase of HIPE represented 80 % of the total volume of the emulsion. Photopolymerisation of the HIPE inside the PMMA scaffold in a UV chamber was followed by purification in a Soxhlet apparatus with solvents ethyl acetate and ethanol, which removed the PMMA beads from the product. The morphology of the sample was examined by scanning electron microscopy (SEM). Samples obtained by buk polymerisation and solution polymerisation were used for comparison. The results of the analysis showed that we successfully synthesized a hierarhically porous polymer with an open cell structure. Polymer beads were successfully removed, as larger primary pores were formed in their places. They were interconnected with smaller voids resulting from grain junctions. Due to the use of HIPE, the skeleton was also porous. Such materials are flowable and have a higher specific surface area than materials prepared by bulk and solution polymerisation. All samples were characterized with porosimeter by BET (Brunauer-Emmett-Teller) method and their composition was studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy (FTIR) and elemental analysis.
