diplomsko delo
Povzetek
V diplomskem delu raziskujem poglede staršev na izobraževanje in varstvo otrok s posebnimi potrebami v času zaprtja vseh izobraževalnih in drugih institucij. V kvalitativno raziskavo sem vključila deset staršev otrok s posebnimi potrebami, ki so v tem času obiskovali izobraževalne institucije. Želela sem ugotoviti, kako je potekal dan v njihovi družini, kako so v tem času opravljali službene dolžnosti in jih usklajevali s poučevanjem in varstvom otrok.

Challenges of Education and Care for Children With Special Needs During the Closure of Institutions Amid the COVID-19 Pandemic from their parents' perspective |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
In my dissertation, I explored the views of parents on the education and care of children with special needs during the closure of all educational and other institutions. In the qualitative research, I included ten parents of children with special needs who were attending educational institutions during this time. I wanted to find out the course of their familyʹs day, how they performed their professional duties during this time, and how they coordinated them with the teaching and care of their children. I was interested in how the children reacted to the situation and how the shift to schooling from home affected them. I wondered what professional help was available to parents and children, and in what form. Above all, I was interested in the parents' suggestions for a better response from the profession to the epidemic. The results of the research showed that there was a deterioration in children's behaviour, professional help was reduced, most of the family days were full of work for the school, and relatives helped them with care and work for the school. The parents did not seek professional help for themselves, some of them would have opted for it in the case of a renewed lockdown. I suggest a better adjustment of the work and help of the profession in the event of re-closure and greater promotion of professional help to parents in similar situations. I also suggest linking the profession with parents to formulate guidelines in the event of future closures of institutions. Furthermore, above all, I suggest ensuring that the families have access to the educational institutions and with that the availability of therapies and individual lessons. |
