(magistrsko delo)
Povzetek
Uvod: Od stila vodenja, ki ga prevzame vodja v zdravstveni negi, so odvisni zadovoljstvo bolnikov in drugi kazalniki kakovosti v zdravstveni negi.
Podatki so bili statistično obdelani s programom SPSS.
Najvišje (povprečna vrednost = 4,13) so bolniki ocenili odzivnost, hitrost medicinskih sester, ko so jo potrebovali.

Leadership styles in relation to patient satisfaction |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Introduction: Patient satisfaction and other quality indicators in nursing depend on the leadership style adopted by the manager in nursing. The purpose of the master's thesis was to explore the prevailing leadership style and its relationship with patient satisfaction.
Research Methods: Quantitative research methodology was used. Two validated questionnaires were used as the researched instrument: Multifactor Leadership Questionnaire and Patient Satisfaction with Nursing Care Quality Questionnaire. The study involved 179 non-senior nurses and nursing technicians and 168 patients. The research was conducted at one of the clinics in a medical institution in northeastern Slovenia. The data were statistically processed with the SPSS program. The Binomial test and the Mann-Whitney U test were used to test the hypotheses.
Results: In most (80%) of the surveyed departments, a transformational leadership style is present. Patients were the least satisfied (mean = 3.30) with informing relatives, friends about the condition and needs, and the efforts of nurses to ensure that relatives, friends could help with their care and treatment. The highest (mean = 4.13) patients rated the response, the speed of the nurses when they needed it.
Conclusion: It was found that in departments where transformational leadership is present, the level of patient satisfaction is higher than in departments where transactional leadership is present. Satisfaction of employees and patients depends on the leadership style. More satisfied employees are more successful and efficient on the workplace, which contributes to higher quality and greater satisfaction of service users. |
