Sekundarni naslov: Manufacture of prosthetic foot for rock climbing
Sekundarni povzetek: Introduction: Introduction: Nowadays, amputees are increasingly interested in recreational and competitive sports. This growing interest continues to drive the development of custom prostheses. To achieve the best performance of the amputee, new materials and techniques have to be used. Against this background, new problems arise and new solutions have to be found. Purpose: The aim of this diploma work was to design and build a prototype climbing foot prosthesis with an interchangeable distal part that can adapt according to the obstacle the climber has to overcome. Methods: In the first part of the thesis, we used Google browser to familiarize ourselves with existing climbing shoes. For the search we used the keywords: proteze za skalno plezanje and prosthesis for rock climbing. In the second part, we started to make our climbing prosthesis from ayous tree. Its peculiarity is that it consists of two parts, the base and the interchangeable part that allows different climbing techniques. In the places where the climbing shoe comes in contact with the surface, it is covered with rubber, which allows a good step and friction. The connection between the basic and the interchangeable part is made possible by the rivet nut and the M10 screw. Results: After searching the literature, five existing prosthetic feet were found and studied. We discovered some of their shortcomings and ways to improve them. Our goal was to overcome these weaknesses in our model. Discussion and conclusion: We searched for existing prosthetic feet and designed a new foot to be as functional as possible. In creating our prosthetic foot, we kept the good features and tried to minimize the negative features of the pre- existing feet. Adapted feet have evolved because commercially available prosthetic feet are not designed for climbing. An amputee can choose to use adaptive sports prostheses or adaptive components in the prosthesis. Different types of climbing shoes are used for different climbing styles, which is impossible for prosthesis wearers due to the lack of offerings in this area. To expand the range of use, we have made it possible to exchange the end piece for different types of climbing, which would allow climbing at a higher level.
