Povzetek

V diplomski nalogi sem predstavila stres pri delu, saj danes živimo v dobi stresa in je le-ta na delovnem mestu povsem vsakdanji. Vse hitrejši tempo življenja, pritiski doma in v službi povzročajo motnje v delovanju telesa in duševnosti. Tudi sama sem se srečevala s stresom in se na podlagi izkušenj tudi odločila, da si za diplomsko nalogo izberem naslov “Stres pri delu”. V nalogi sem najprej predstavila teoretični del, kjer sem poskušala obdelati splošni pojem stresa, predstaviti vzroke in simptome za stres pri delu, vrste stresa in stresorjev pri delu ter na kakšen način preprečujemo in obvladujemo stres. Cilj moje raziskave je bil ugotoviti dejavnike,ki spodbujajo in odpravljajo stres pri zaposlenih na Inštitutu za varovanje zdravja. Zanimalo me je tudi, kako se zaposleni izogibajo stresu pri delu in kako podjetje skrbi za odpravljanje stresa. Rezultati anket so mi potrdili določene zastavljene hipoteze, moja pričakovanja, nekatera pa so tudi zanikali. Potrdili so moja predvidevanja, kar pomeni, da je med zaposlenimi na Inštitutu za varovanje zdravja na splošno prisoten stres pri delu. Največ napetosti in stresa izvira iz neustreznega načina vodenja, preobremenjenosti z delom ter slabe komunikacije z nadrejenimi. Kadar so zaposleni pod stresom, to nanje v največji meri vpliva tako, da se težje zberejo (skoncentrirajo) in so zaradi dela čustveno izčrpani. Odziv na stres se kaže v nenehni utrujenosti. Zaposleni imajo težave s spanjem, na delovnem mestu pa z zbranostjo. Raziskava je pokazala, da večina zaposlenih skrbi za svojo psihično sprostitev tako, da se aktivno ukvarja s športom, posveča se svojim najbližjim oz. družini ter goji svoje hobije. Slaba tretjina anketiranih je menila, da IVZ včasih zaposlenim nudi potrebno usposabljanje za dobro opravljena dela. Vendar pa delavci za dobro opravljeno delo niso posebej nagrajeni, kar pa posledično vodi v stres. Zaželena je skrb, da bi bilo na delovnem mestu negotovosti čim manj. Na koncu diplomske naloge sem na podlagi rezultatov podala možne rešitve za zmanjšanje stresnih učinkov.

Sekundarni povzetek: This undergraduate dissertation presents stress in the workplace; this theme is particularly relevant in today’s age of stress, with stress being omnipresent and particularly prominent in the workplace. The ever quicker tempo of life, pressure at home and pressure in the workplace cause malfunctions in the body and mind. I myself have faced stress and on the basis of these experiences, have decided to write my undergraduate dissertation on the topic of “Stress in the Workplace”. The first section of the dissertation is theoretical, where I assessed general definitions of stress, presenting causes and symptoms of stress in the workplace, types of stress and stress triggers in the workplace, as well as the methods of preventing and combating stress. The goal of my study was to determine the factors that encourage and combat stress in employees of the National Institute of Public Health, Slovenia. I was also interested in the methods by which employees avoid stress in the workplace and the means by which the employer encourages stress reduction. The results of the questionnaire confirmed some of my set hypotheses and expectations, while the results simultaneously caused the rejection of some of the hypotheses. The results were in line with my expectations that the employees of the National Institute of Public Health, Slovenia experience stress in the workplace. The most stress arises from unsatisfactory leadership styles, overburdening by work and inferior communication with superiors. When employees are stressed, this stress manifests itself in lower concentration, making it hard for them to focus, and subsequently causes them emotional fatigue. The response to stress manifests itself in constant fatigue. Employees experience trouble sleeping and trouble with concentrating in the workplace. The study has shown that the majority of employees achieve mental relaxation by actively involving themselves with sports activities, spending time with their friends and family and indulging in hobbies. Less than a third of employees surveyed felt that the National Institute of Public Health, Slovenia sometimes offers employees training to achieve their work duties in a satisfactory manner. Employees are not however particularly rewarded when they perform well, which subsequently leads them to experience stress. It was desired that there be as little uncertainty in the workplace as possible. My dissertation concludes with possible solutions and remedies for the reduction of stress and consequences of stress, based on the results of the questionnaire.
