Sekundarni povzetek: Mental disorders are a problem in society, and the causes of their occurrence are very different. The fast pace of life also brings a lot of stress, worries and efforts to people, which can also lead to various mental illnesses. But not every stress, anger, and fear a mental disorder. When things pile up and a person is simply overburdened his body and mind show signs that something is simply wrong. Some mental disorders are also a sign of brain disease. Mental illness is thus manifested both by physical signs as well as by our reaction to our surroundings and our daily responses to things that happend. In the diploma st first we presented the meaning of the phrase mental disorder in general. We also briefly presented the categories of disorders and their cause, typical characteristics and in each group we also described some representatives. However because sometimes the behavior of people suffering from a mental disorder leads them to commit a crime, the question of propriety arises at the trial of such offenders. In the diploma we tried to discover how mental disorders affect the offenders, that it is necessary to determine whether the crime is a reflection of a mental disorder, whether the offenders committed the crime completely of his own free will and whether he was aware of his behavior. We explained what happens after a trial and who can influence the outcome of a trial of a felony with a mental disorder. We also described the procedure of hospitalization without consent and what happens to the offenders in case it is established that the offenders committed the crime under the influence of a mental disorder and is not responsible for his actions as they were committed subconsciously. It is important to know that it is very important to recognize mental disorders as soon as possible and also to find help immediately whether it is for a loved one or for yourself.
