Metode: Literaturo smo poiskali s podatkovnima bazama PEDro in PubMed.

Sekundarni naslov: Physiotherapeutic methods in the treatment of adhesive capsulitis
Sekundarni povzetek: Introduction and purpose: Adhesive capsulitis (AC) or frozen shoulder is a self-limiting disease characterized by pain and functional limitation in the active and passive range of motion (ROM) of the glenohumeral joint (GHJ). The condition lasts more than a month, however, there are no irregularities of the GHJ visible on the X-ray. The purpose of this graduation thesis was to present the AC, the issues related to its treatment, as well as physiotherapeutic (PT) methods, techniques, and their combinations, effective in the treatment of AC. Methods: Professional literature was searched using PEDro and PubMed databases. Results: The results indicate that different combinations of manual therapy, kinesiotherapy, electrotherapy and thermotherapy are effective in reducing pain, increasing active and passive ROM and muscle strength, as well as improving upper limb function and quality of life in patients in different stages of AC. Usability: The presentation of the parameters of PT-methods and techniques, functional anatomy, biomechanics, pathophysiology, diagnostics, as well as classification and PT-treatment of AC. Limitations: Selected researches are not sufficient to make definite conclusions about either the effectiveness of each PT-method and technique or the most effective PT-method for the treatment of the AC.
