Ozaveščenost zdravstvenih delavcev o raku na modih

Povzetek

Rak mod je med mladimi moškimi najpogostejša oblika rakave bolezni. Zavedati pa se je potrebno, da za to obliko raka obolevajo tudi otroci in mladostniki. Mladi živijo v prepričanju, da je to bolezen starejših ljudi in tej temi ne posvečajo kaj dosti pozornosti. Če bodo zdravstveni delavci zadosti osveščeni o problematiki, ter bodo imeli potrebna znanja, bodo le to znanje lažje prenašali med moško populacijo ter jim vzbudili zavest o tej problematiki.Namen diplomskega dela je raziskati ozaveščenost zdravstvenih delavcev o raku na modih. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili anatomijo mod, dejavnike tveganja, sam rak mod, znake bolezni, proces zdravljenja in sledenja bolezni. V posebnem poglavju smo se dotaknili še otroške onkologije, soočanje pacientov z boleznijo ter depresijo. Na koncu smo predstavili vlogo zdravstvenih delavcev na vseh ravneh delovanja. V empiričnem delu pa smo prikazali rezultate ankete, ki smo jo opravili v Zdravstvenem domu v Velenju. Anketirali smo zdravstvene delavce ter ugotavljali njihovo ozaveščenost o raku mod. Na osnovi dobljenih rezultatov smo ugotovili, da so zdravstveni delavci o raku obširno dobro seznanjeni, ko pa govorimo o posamezni vrsti raka, kot je rak mod, pa niso dovolj osveščeni in je njihovo poznavanje tega področja izjemno slabo, prav tako tudi njihovo zdravstveno vzgojno delovanje.

Sekundarni povzetek:	Cancer of the testicles is the most common type of cancer diseases among young men. However, we have to be aware that this type of cancer can also affect children and adolescents. Young people often believe that this is a disease of elderly people, so they do not pay much attention on this topic. If health workers had appropriate knowledge about this issue and they were aware enough, they could share it easier between the male population and help them understand the importance of that problem. The purpose of my paper work is to investigate the awareness of the testicular cancer among health workers. In the theoretical part, we presented the anatomy of the testicles, risk factors, testicular cancer, signs of the disease, the process of healing and tracking of the disease. In a separate chapter, we discussed the children's oncology and we tried to find out how patients face up to the disease and depression. And finally, we described the role of the health workers at all levels of process. In empirical part, we presented the results of the survey which was taken at Medical home in Velenje. By interviewing health workers we tried to determine their awareness about the cancer of the testicles. According to the results we found out that the health-care professionals know many things about cancer in general but when we are talking about a particular type of cancer, such as testicular cancer, they are not sufficiently enlightened and their knowledge of this field is extremely poor, as well as their health educational functioning.
