Povzetek

Magistrsko delo obravnava prenovo dvorca Frajštajn s pripadajočim kompleksom v kraju Spodnja Polskava v občini Slovenska Bistrica. Prikazuje rešitve, kako celotnemu kompleksu in dvorcu iz 16. stoletja dodeliti novo funkcijo in ga vključiti v vsakodnevno rabo ter v dogajanje današnjega časa. Delo je sestavljeno iz analitično-teoretskega dela, ki vključuje arhitekturne analize, in iz projektnega dela z grafičnimi prikazi. Celoto dopolnjujejo posamezni primeri podobnih, kakovostno prenovljenih objektov. Na osnovi arhitekturnih analiz se poda predlog o novi namembnosti dvorca oz. celotnega kompleksa. Preuči in določi se vse pomembne javne funkcije v neposredni bližini, prav tako se analizira lego kompleksa in dostopnost oz. prometno povezanost. Iz vseh narejenih analiz sledi sklep, da kompleks leži na dobri lokaciji. Blizu neokrnjene narave na eni strani in nedaleč stran od mestnega dogajanja na drugi. Na zahodu se nam pogled razprostira na Pohorje, bližina avtoceste pa nam zagotavlja hiter dostop do dveh večjih mest v bližini, Slovenske Bistrice in Maribora. Prav bližina Pohorja in neposredna povezava z avtocesto pripomoreta k izboru predloga za novo namensko rabo kompleksa. Poleg pohodništva, kolesarjenja in smučarskega turizma, ki je na Pohorju precej razvito, lahko ponudbo v novem medgeneracijskem središču dvorca Frajštajn zaokrožimo s terapijami z živalmi, konjeniškim turizmom ter jahalno šolo in tako obiskovalcu ponudimo dodatne aktivnosti v kateremkoli letnem času.

Sekundarni povzetek:	The objective of this master’s thesis is to evaluate the current state and potential updates of the once prestigious mansion estate of Frajštajn in Spodnja Polskava, municipality of Slovenska Bistrica. The considerations on how to enhance the 16 th century complex with updated functions highlighting the possible ways of integrating present day events are evaluated and presented. The following analysis considers an analytically theoretical part and is presented by a descriptive graphical display. An array of carefully chosen representative examples of renovations sum up the thesis. Supported by a careful architectural analysis a proposal for the repurposed and refurbished mansion is developed and presented. It is followed by a definition of significant public features enhancing the area. The locations of the structure, its accessibility and aesthetic appearance of the estate in the surroundings is evaluated. The results show that the property is in a well-connected area creating great opportunities for various future expansions and developments. Although the estate is surrounded by unspoiled nature, it is influenced by the city life of Slovenska Bistrica and Maribor, both of which one can be reached by way of a nearby highway. Facing to the west from the property one is greeted by amazing views of Pohorje, internationally known resort, adding to the value to the estate. The proximity of this iconic landmark, supported by the network of a modern highway supports the choice for the update and addition of new functions and programmes. Considering the already existing activities in the area, such as hiking, cycling and various winter sports, the proposed complex of the mansion supports the offer with new activities which until now were non-existent in the community. An amazing array of year-round services and activities, such as animal therapy, equestrian club and riding school, present the visitor with activities not presently available.
