Sekundarni naslov: | Parametric simulations of compressive behaviour of triply periodic metamaterials manufactured with additive technologies |
Sekundarni povzetek: | The master thesis presents an inverse material model development procedure that takes into account the defects in the triply-periodic minimal surface (TPMS) cellular structure produced by additive manufacturing. TPMS cellular structures based on shells are new metamaterials showing high potential in a wide range of applications. Experimental results of compression testing of TPMS cellular structures made from AISI 316L stainless steel were obtained, collected, and evaluated. Quasi-static computer simulations were performed with the LS-Dyna software package on the University of Maribor HPC-CORE computer cluster. The aim of the simulations was to determine a material model that would give results as close as possible to the experimental results. Several approaches for accounting of errors in the structure were tested and the influence of error distribution across the structure was evaluated. The simulation results obtained showed a good corelation with the experimental results. |
