Podatki so bili analizirani z inferenčno in deskriptivno statistiko.

Sekundarni naslov: Ethical dilemmas and motivation among nurses during COVID-19
Sekundarni povzetek: Introduction: During the outbreak of COVID-19, health care workers have been confronted with unpleasant and complex ethical challenges, moral conflicts, high patient mortality rates and long working hours. The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is to explore the ethical dilemmas and motivations of health care workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: For the survey, we used quantitative research methodology and a survey questionnaire as a quantitative research instrument. The survey included 307 health care workers who have worked directly with COVID-19 patients. The data was analysed by using inferential and descriptive statistics. Results: The employees' motivation has been affected by family support, financial rewards for their efforts, financial compensation during the pandemic and availability of COVID-19 drugs and vaccines. The disclosed feelings of the employees reveal that they have appreciated financial compensation during the pandemic. Moreover, they feel they have to work because it is their job and because they have to meet their ethical obligations. At the same time, they appreciate that their employer has rewarded them for their work with special rewards. No statistical correlation between stress factors and gender was established. Discussion and conclusion: Health care workers need to be empowered during a pandemic. Issues such as fear of disease transmission, stress, anxiety and maintaining mental health should be addressed with due concern. Solutions to these issues could increase the quality of health care as a result of psychosocial empowerment of health care workers.
