Vpliv Covid-19 na nabavno verigo podjetja Nike

Povzetek

Svet se zadnja leta spopada s pandemijo Covid-19. Izbruh Covid-19 je močno vplival na poslovanje, predvsem na področju upravljanja dobavne verige. Pandemija je prekinila globalno dobavno verigo na način, kakršnega v novejši zgodovini še ni bilo. Podjetja so prisiljena soočati se z motnjami v dobavni verigi. Razkrila je tudi krhkost ter pomanjkljivost v dobavnih verigah. Vpliv se pozna pri vseh podjetjih, ne glede na velikost podjetja. V diplomski nalogi smo predstavili ter analizirali vpliv Covid-19 na dobavno verigo podjetja Nike. V teoretičnem delu smo predstavili in opisali, kaj sploh je dobavna veriga, kako se je razvijala skozi čas, kako deluje ter tveganja, ki se pojavljajo v dobavnih verigah. V empiričnem delu smo izvedli analizo posameznih komponent dobavne verige, kot so surovine, dobavitelji, proizvodnja, distribucija, trgovanje ter potrošniki. Obseg let oziroma podatkov, ki smo jih uporabili so bili iz Nikejevega fiskalnega leta 2019, do vključno z letom 2022. Podatke, potrebne za analizo, smo po večini pridobivali iz njihovih letnih poročil. Tekom diplomske naloge smo se podrobneje spoznali s splošnim vplivom Covid-19 na dobavne verige ter podrobneje vpliv na Nikejevo dobavno verigo. Izvedeli smo tudi, kako je Nike prestrukturiral svojo dobavno verigo in jo prilagodil trenutnim razmeram. Spoznali smo s kakšnimi težavami oziroma ovirami so se pri podjetju soočali med pandemijo ter med preoblikovanjem dobavne verige. Diplomsko delo smo zaključili s podrobno analizo Nikejeve dobavne verige skozi obdobje pandemije Covid-19, torej med leti 2020 ter 2022. Za primerjavo smo vključili tudi leto 2019, ki je bilo leto pred nastopom koronavirusa

Sekundarni povzetek:	The world has been grappling with the Covid-19 pandemic in recent years. The outbreak of Covid-19 has had a major impact on business, particularly in the area of supply chain management. The pandemic has disrupted global supply chains in ways unprecedented in recent history. Companies face challenges when their supply chains are disrupted. This can reveal weaknesses and vulnerabilities in the supply chain. The impacts of this phenomenon are not limited to businesses of a certain size, but are felt by companies of all sizes. The purpose of this thesis was to present and analyze the impact of Covid-19 on Nike's supply chain. In order to achieve this, we first collected data on Nike's supply chain pre-and post-Covid-19. We then analyzed this data to identify any changes in Nike's supply chain due to Covid-19. Finally, we discussed the implications of our findings. In the theoretical section, we presented and described the concept of a supply chain, its evolution over time, how it works, and the risks that can occur during its operation. In the empirical section, we performed an analysis of individual components of the supply chain, such as raw materials, suppliers, production, distribution, trading, and consumers. The data we used was from Nike's fiscal years 2019 to 2022. The data required for the analysis was largely taken from the company's annual reports. This thesis provides a detailed examination of the impact of Covid-19 on supply chains, with a particular focus on Nike's supply chain. We also learned how Nike restructured its supply chain to be adaptable to different situations. The company faced many problems during the pandemic, such as obstacles in the supply chain. The purpose of this paper was to conduct a detailed analysis of Nike's supply chain during the Covid-19 pandemic. In conclusion, we conducted a detailed analysis of Nike's supply chain during the Covid-19 pandemic which has been manifesting from 2020 to 2022. For comparison, we also included the year 2019, which was the year before the onset of the coronavirus.
