Povzetek

Diplomsko delo obravnava primerjavo treh dram, in sicer Antigone Jeana Anouilha ter istoimenskih dram dveh slovenskih avtorjev, Dominika Smoleta in Dušana Jovanovića. V teoretičnem uvodu sta najprej predstavljena mit in ritual, čemur sledi obnova mita o tebanski kraljevi hiši, katerega del je tudi mit o Antigoni, nato pa še predstavitev semantike mita in zanimanja za poustvarjanje starogrških mitov v evropski literaturi ter kratek pregled svetovnih predelav mita o Antigoni, ki mu sledi tudi pregled adaptacij na Slovenskem. V nadaljevanju so predstavljeni avtorji vseh treh dram, obravnavanih v diplomski nalogi, pri čemer je posebno poglavje namenjeno tudi njihovim Antigonam. Znotraj tega poglavja so predstavljene okoliščine nastanka dela ter podatki o objavi in uprizoritvah. Zaradi tesne povezanosti vseh treh tekstov je posebno poglavje namenjeno tudi predstavitvi Smoletovega seznanjanja z dramo francoskega dramatika ter izpostavitvi najočitnejše razlike med obema slovenskima. Ker so bila vsa tri dela zaradi okoliščin nastanka podvržena interpretacijam, vezanim na aktualno družbenopolitično dogajanje, v posebnem poglavju predstavim tri vojne, s katerimi so bile interpretacije obravnavanih Antigon največkrat povezane. V nadaljevanju se posvetim primerjalni analizi dram, pri čemer vsako izmed dram na kratko obnovim ter podrobneje raziščem uporništvo ženskih dramskih oseb v vseh treh dramah. Stališča in pozicijo žensk prikažem v odnosu do nasproti mislečih – moških – in poskušam odgovoriti na vprašanje, ali lahko o Anouilhovi in Smoletovi Antigoni ter ženskah, ki jih ustvari Jovanović, govorimo kot o upornicah. Ker so bile vse tri drame zaradi okoliščin nastanka velikokrat deležne interpretacij, vezanih na tedanje družbenopolitične razmere, v posebnem poglavju poskušam uporništvo žensk interpretirati z ozirom na konkretne vojne situacije, na katere naj bi avtorji z adaptacijo antičnega mita o Antigoni namigovali.

Sekundarni povzetek: The thesis focuses on the comparison of three dramas, namely Antigona by Jean Anouilh and two eponymous dramas by Slovene authors Dominik Smole and Dušan Jovanović. The introduction provides the theory of myth and the ritual of staging Ancient Greek plays. The subsequent section includes the synopsis of the myth about the House of Thebes that also encompasses the myth of Antigone. Additionally, the thesis elucidates the myth’s semantics and the interest to reproduce Ancient Greek myths in European literature as well as a short overview of various modifications of the myth of Antigone along with an overview of adaptations in Slovenia. The subsequent section draws attention to the plays’ authors wherein special emphasis is laid on their Antigona’s. This chapter illustrates the circumstances in which the plays were written and includes information about their publications and stagings. Because all three plays are interconnected, a special chapter highlights Smole’s acquaintance with the French dramatist’s play and observes key differences between the two Slovene plays. All three plays have been subjected to interpretations based on the social and political circumstances of particular points in time; therefore, I provide an overview of the three wars that are most frequently linked to the Antigona’s. I focus on comparative analysis of the three dramas which includes a short synopsis of each play as well as thorough exploration of female characters’ rebellion in all above-mentioned dramas. I demonstrate women’s views and position in relation to the contradictory views shared by men and try to provide an answer to the question whether Anouilh and Smole’s Antigone’s as well as women created by Jovanović can be viewed as rebels. All three dramas were often reinterpreted based on the social and political circumstances of the periods in which they were studied; therefore, I try to interpret women’s rebellion with regards to the concrete situations related to wars that the authors alluded to in their adaptations of the ancient myth of Antigone.
