diplomsko delo
V tem diplomskem delu smo ugotavljali odnos slovenskih osnovnošolcev in srednješolcev do učnega predmeta biologija.

Attitudes of Slovene primary and secondary pupils towards the learning subject biology |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Primary and secondary teachers in Slovenia and around the world are calling our attention towards the decreasing interest of pupils for natural sciences. Side effects of this trend are seen as lack of cadre with education in natural sciences. The quality of science work is diminishing what leaves negative impact in science all together and in the counties' development. In this diploma work we concentrated on researching the attitude of Slovene primary and secondary pupils towards the learning subject biology. With the help of opinion polls we gathered data which testify that the trend of decreasing interest in biology has ceased. Pupils in primary school placed biology as one of the most popular subjects and are headed towards continuing their studies in the course of natural sciences. In the transition from primary to secondary school is where the decreasing shift in attitude's positivity happens although seniors are choosing biology for their secondary school leaving examination with higher frequency. Faculties with natural sciences programmes will in the future with the arrival of today's primary school pupils restore their prominent image. Sociological faculty programmes will not be threatened by this change. Primary and secondary pupils have stated that for their attitude towards biology to ameliorate, teachers will have to improve their way of teaching with the use of various teaching methods, augment the share of practical work in biology lessons and connect the subject matter of biology with everyday life. |
