diplomsko delo

Raises and falls in interstate relations of the Kingdom SHS from 1919-1929 - example of Hungary |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
The end of First World War caused the downfall of Austria-Hungary. On its remains new states were established, among them also the Republic of Hungary and the Kingdom of Serbs, Croats and Slovenes. With the emerging of these states, conflicts among them arose and were above all connected to demarcation. State borders between the Kingdom SHS and Hungary after the liquidation of the soviet republic, were set by the Paris Peace Conference. The resolutions of the piece conference, which was signed by Hungary in Trianon, set the future nature of Yugoslav-Hungarian relations. In the discussed period these were characterized by Hungarian aspirations for the revision of Trianon and for the reestablishment of Habsburg monarchy in Hungary. A union of three states, entitled the Little Entente, fought against these aspirations. The Kingdom SHS was a part of this union. Through activities of the mentioned union we can trace the development of Yugoslav-Hungarian relations, which in the period until 1929 had their raises and falls. In the second half of the 20-ies they were marked by the cooperation of Hungary with the fascist Italy against the Kingdom SHS. The aim of this diploma work is to present the development of Yugoslav-Hungarian relations with the help of newspaper material, analyze the role of Yugoslavia in the Little Entente in relation to Hungary and research the influence of Little Entente conferences' resolutions on the Yugoslav-Hungarian relations. |
