diplomsko delo
Povzetek
Uvod: Redna telesna dejavnost pomaga pri preprečevanju in zdravljenju nenalezljivih bolezni, in sicer bolezni srca, sladkorne bolezni in nekaterih vrst raka.

Physical activity of nursing staff in Slovenian health resorts |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Introduction: Regular physical activity helps prevent and treat non-communicable diseases, namely heart disease, diabetes, and some types of cancer. The lives of people who engage in physical activity are of better quality, fuller and with fewer various health problems. Considering that nursing staff are exposed to a lot of pressure at their work and the work is also physically demanding, it is important that they take time for physical activity. Purpose: The purpose of the thesis was to find out how much nursing staff employed in SPAs in Slovenia are physically active, and whether they are familiar with know the recommendations of the World Health Organization for the implementation of an adequate amount of physical activity for adults, using a questionnaire. Methods: In the introductory part, a descriptive work method was used with a review of foreign and domestic literature. For the needs of the research, a survey questionnaire was created, which contained 28 questions, both open-ended and closed-ended. The online questionnaire was published on the online platform EnKlikAnketa. The link to the online questionnaire was sent to the official addresses of all SPAs in Slovenia. Results: The sample consisted of 45 persons of both sexes who are employed as nursing staff in SPAs in Slovenia. More than half, as much as 53 % of the respondents are satisfied with their physical fitness. The most common sports and recreational activity chosen by the nursing staff is walking. According to the recommendations of the World Health Organization from 2020, 5 (11 %) of them are sufficiently moderately intensively aerobically active, 14 (31 %) of them are sufficiently moderately intensively aerobically active. We also calculated the equivalent combination of moderate and high-intensity aerobic physical activity and found that 22 of them (48 %) met the conditions. Discussion and conclusion: Through research, we found that among the nursing staff employed in Slovenian SPAs, there are few who are sufficiently physically active. The data shows that the nursing staff surveyed have insufficient knowledge about physical activity, so it would be reasonable to organize lifelong trainings on appropriate and high-quality physical activity. From the analysis of the questionnaires, we also find that the majority would take part in organized exercise during working hours, if the option were available. |
