diplomsko delo

Sekundarni povzetek: |
The Diploma paper analyses the historical and love theme, the artist and art theme in the novel Doctor Zhivago written by the Russian-Soviet author Boris Leonidovič Pasternak, Nobel prize winner for literature. The basis for the historical novel is the stormy period of the Russian-Soviet history, which is marked by the Russian revolution in 1905, the First World War, the February and October revolution, socialism in the Soviet Union; the epilogue of the novel relates to the Second World War and the years following it. The novel blemishes the October revolution; it is against the socialist movement which was one of the reasons for Posternak's exclusion from the Soviet writers union, the demand for the author to be deported from the country, author's rejection of the Nobel prize. In the romantic novel, love theme is multilayered: what steps out is the love relationship between a man an a woman which, in relation to the main character, Lara, grows into a symbol of one's love for his/her country, what is also present is the love between half-brothers and a son's love for his mother is also detectable. The main character of the novel of an artist is a great poet Jurij Zhivago, a biography of who is the prosaic part of the novel, his poems collection is found in the last chapter of the novel. In the unbound part the artist develops the art theme and is a harbinger of the idea of art in the function of immortality. Through the mentioned theme, the novel also analyses the autobiographic-ness of the partially autobiographic novel; the latter is depicted in the numerous accordance of the biographic data of the main character and the author; to understand the novel it is extremely important to realise that Jurij Zhivago is a spiritual alter ego of Boris Pasternak. |
