Povzetek
Diplomsko delo z naslovom Ulomki v vrtcu teoretično in empirično predstavlja področje začetnih konceptov razumevanja racionalnih števil v vrtcu oz. vpeljevanje delov celot v vrtec. Namen diplomskega dela je raziskati poznavanje delov celot in razvijanje pojmov del in celota pri predšolskih otrocih ter pripraviti gradiva za razvijanje teh pojmov v vrtcu. V teoretičnem delu je bila uporabljena metoda študija pisnih virov. Empiričen del je bil zasnovan na uporabi kavzalno-eksperimentalne metode, in sicer metode pedagoškega eksperimenta. V raziskavo smo vključili predšolske otroke, stare 5 let, pri čemer nas je zanimalo, kakšne so razlike pri reševanju nalog, o delih celote med otroki, ki so imeli predhodne izkušnje z deli celot in otroki, ki so se prvič srečali z vsebino na dan retencijskega testa, ki je potekal čez mesec dni. Podatki, ki smo jih zbrali s pomočjo opazovalnega lista, so pokazali, da so otroci, ki so vsebino že poznali, naloge na dan preverjanja reševali brez večjih težav. Otroci iz eksperimentalne skupine so bili po uspešnosti na končnem preverjanju v prednosti pred otroki iz kontrolne skupine. Rezultati kažejo, da so bili otroci pri nalogah o delih celot iz dneva v dan vedno bolj uspešni, kazali pa so tudi veliko stopnjo sproščenosti, vedoželjnosti in raziskovanja različnih možnosti rešitev. Področje se je tako izkazalo kot zanimiva in primerna aktivnost za predšolske otroke, čeprav gre za na prvi pogled zahtevno matematično vsebino, ki pa ob konkretizaciji in primernem metodičnem postopku uspešno zaživi tudi v vrtcu.

The diploma paper "Fractions in Kindergarten" presents both theoretically and empirically the areas of elementary concepts of understanding of rational numbers in kindergarten as well as the introduction of fractional parts. The purpose of the paper is to research the knowledge of fractional parts as well as the development of concepts of part and whole with preschool children and the preparation of materials for development of such concepts in kindergarten. The theoretical part uses a literature review methodology. The empirical part is based on the causal-experimental method, which is the method of the pedagogical experiment. We included preschool children of the age of five into the research. We were especially interested in the differences in completion of the exercises on fractional parts between children who already had some previous experience with fractional parts and children who were introduced with the content on the day of the retention test, which was performed a month later. The information we gathered with an observation list showed that children, who were already familiar with the content, completed the tasks on the testing day without problems. In completing the final test the children from the experimental group were more successful than the children from the control group. The results show that children were from day to day more successful in completing the tasks on fractional parts, they were also very relaxed, eager to learn and were searching for different solutions. So what looked as a difficult mathematic contest at first was later proven to be an interesting and suitable activity for preschool children, which can, with demonstration and suitable methodical procedures be successfully performed also in kindergarten. |
