Povzetek

Uvod: Pandemija COVIDA-19 je pomembno vplivala na zdravstvene sisteme po vsem svetu. Zaposleni v nujni medicinski pomoči so se v času pandemije srečevali z novimi in pogosto z nepoznanimi izzivi. Potrebno je bilo prilagodili delo, bili so mnogo bolj izpostavljeni okužbi, soočali so se s pomankanjem opreme in kadra, izpostavljeni so bili ekstremnim pogojem dela, kar lahko privede do izgorelosti. Namen zaključnega dela je raziskati vpliv pandemije COVIDA-19 na pojav izgorelosti pri zaposlenih v nujni medicinski pomoči. Metode: V namen priprave zaključnega dela smo izvedli pregled literature, uporabili smo deskriptivno metodo dela, metodo analize in sinteze, prav tako smo uporabili metodo kompilacije in komparacije. Literaturo smo poiskali v podatkovnih bazah, CINAHL Ultimate Medline in Web of Sciences. Iskanje literature smo prikazali po priporočilih PRISMA. Rezultate smo prikazali v evalvacijski in sintezni tabeli. Rezultati: Rezultati kažejo, da je pandemija COVID-19 pomembno vplivala na pojav izgorelosti med zaposlenimi v nujni medicinski pomoči. Dejavniki za pojav sindroma izgorelosti so povezani s pomankanjem kadra, zaščitne opreme, opravljanjem nadurnega dela, socialne izoliranosti in čustvene ter fizične preobremenjenosti. Posledice izgorelosti se kažejo kot zmanjšana kakovost oskrbe bolnikov, razmišljanje o odpovedi ali menjavi delovnega mesta in splošno nezadovoljstvo z opravljanjem dela. Razprava in zaključek: Pojav izgorelosti med zaposlenimi v nujni medicinski pomoči se je v času pandemije COVIDA-19 povečal. Za preprečevanje pojava izgorelosti je pomembno razvijanje strategij za obvladovanje kriznih situacij, priporočljivo je izvajati monitoring nivoja stresa, nuditi ustrezno strokovno podporo in psihološko pomoč zaposlenim, v namen ohranjanja duševnega zdravja in dobrega počutja.

Sekundarni povzetek: Introduction: The COVID-19 pandemic has had a significant impact on healthcare systems worldwide. Employees in emergency medical care faced new and often unfamiliar challenges during the pandemic. It was necessary to adjust work, they were much more exposed to infection, they faced a lack of equipment and personnel, and they were exposed to extreme work conditions which can lead to burnout. The purpose of the diploma work was to research the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on emergency medical care workers’ burnout. Methods: A review of the literature was conducted, the descriptive method, the method of analysis and synthesis, and the method of compilation and comparison were used. Literature was searched in CINAHL Ultimate Medline and Web of Sciences databases. The literature search was performed according to PRISMA recommendations. The results were presented in the evaluation and synthesis table. Results: The results showed that the COVID-19 pandemic had a significant impact on emergency medical care workers’ burnout. Factors for the occurrence of burnout syndrome are related to the lack of staff, lack of protective equipment, overtime work, social isolation and emotional and physical overload. The consequences of burnout are manifested as poor quality of patient care, thoughts of quitting the job, and dissatisfaction with work performance. Discussion and conclusion: The incidence of burnout among EMS workers has increased during the COVID-19 pandemic. To prevent the occurrence of burnout, it is important to develop strategies for managing crisis situations, it is recommended to monitor the level of stress, and provide appropriate professional and psychological support for employees, to maintain mental health and well-being.
