diplomsko delo
Rastlinski motiv predstavlja pomemben del njenega slikarskega opusa in jo inspirira še danes.

FLORAL MOTIFS IN PAINTING |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Plant motive was present throughout human development and creation, but it was in the background for a very long time. An important breakthrough was in the 17th century in Europe, when floral still life became independent motive. Plants, not only flowers, were the leading inspiration in modern style artists or masters of art nouveau. From then on a lot of artists from different artistic disciplines and styles touched this motive, but only few of them were dedicated exclusively to it. At the end of 19th century and in the beginning of 20th century American painter Georgia O'Keeffe gave a very individual and creative interpretation of plant kingdom - mostly flowers. She enlarged the flowers, so they often reached over the edges of the painting. She simplified and purified motifs so long that paintings reflected the heart, essence of painted flower. She was also innovative in the perspective, which can be identified with an Insect's perspective. Slovene artists as well painted flowers and incorporated different plant motifs in their works. This diploma paper also represents painter Ida Brišnik Remec from Maribor, who in 1960-1970 co-designed artistic creation in Maribor. Plant motive represents an important part of her painting opus and is inspiring her still. |
