Sekundarni povzetek: | In the final thesis, we improved the existing remote control aircraft wing adapter using the method of generative design. Our focus was on reducing the weight while maintaining the same load-bearing capacity. In the thesis, we presented the theoretical background of additive manufacturing and described the process of selective laser melting as well as generative design. Next, we presented the aircraft wing adapter and its design objective of mass reduction. We prepared the adapter for 3D printing and printed it using selective laser melting technology. The improved adapter has 4 times less mass while being able to withstand the same loads as the original one. Additionally, we found that manufacturing with selective laser melting process is cost comparable to 5-axis CNC milling. |
