Povzetek

Občutek ogroženosti prebivalcev Republike Slovenije zaradi izgradnje drugega bloka jedrske elektrarne v Krškem je v zadnjih letih pereča tema. Poleg strahu pred morebitno nesrečo in njenimi posledicami se pojavlja predvsem bojazen pred moteno ali ogroženo oskrbo z električno energijo v prihodnosti. V Sloveniji trenutno prevladuje proizvodnja električne energije iz hidroelektrarn, sledijo termoelektrarne, šele za njimi pa jedrska elektrarna v Krškem. Obnovljivi viri energije, kot so vetrna in sončna energija, se v zadnjih letih povečujejo, vendar ne zagotavljajo dovolj zanesljive oskrbe z električno energijo. Za to so namreč potrebni različni ukrepi, vključno z ukrepi na področju proizvodnje, prenosa in distribucije ter izkoriščanja različnih virov energije. V razpravi o izgradnji drugega bloka jedrske elektrarne v Krškem se pojavljajo argumenti o zanesljivi oskrbi z električno energijo in nujnosti zmanjšanja izpustov CO2, hkrati pa se pojavljajo tudi protiargumenti o varnostnih tveganjih, onesnaževanju z jedrskimi odpadki in strahu pred morebitno nesrečo. Namen naloge je ugotoviti, kako bi izgradnja drugega bloka jedrske elektrarne vplivala na občutek ogroženosti prebivalcev ter kakšne ukrepe bi bilo smiselno predlagati za morebitno zmanjšanje tega občutka. Raziskava je pokazala, da se poleg strahu pred morebitno nesrečo in vplivom na okolje pojavlja tudi strah pred moteno ali ogroženo oskrbo z električno energijo v prihodnosti. Koristno bi bilo, da bi se čim večji del prebivalstva seznanil z delovanjem jedrskih elektrarn ter njihovimi prednostmi in slabostmi v primerjavi z drugimi vrstami elektrarn.

Sekundarni povzetek: The perceived threat to the population of the Republic of Slovenia from the construction of the second unit of the nuclear power plant in Krško has been a hot topic in recent years. In addition to the fear of a possible accident and its consequences, there is a particular fear of a disrupted or threatened future electricity supply. Slovenia is currently dominated by hydroelectric power plants, followed by thermal power plants, and then by the Krško nuclear power plant. Renewable energy sources such as wind and solar energy have been increasing in recent years, but they do not provide but they do not provide a sufficiently reliable supply of electricity. This requires various measures, including in the field of production, transmission and distribution, as well as the exploitation of various energy sources. In the discussion about the construction of the second block of the nuclear power plant in Krško, arguments about a reliable supply of electricity and the necessity of reducing CO2 emissions appear, but at the same time there are also counter-arguments about safety risks, pollution with nuclear waste and the fear of a possible accident. The purpose of this master's thesis is to determine how the construction of the second block of the nuclear power plant would affect the residents' feeling of being threatened, and what measures it would be reasonable to propose to possibly reduce this feeling. The research showed that, in addition to the fear of a possible accident and impact on the environment, there is also a fear of a disrupted or threatened supply of electricity in the future. It would be useful for the largest possible part of the population to become familiar with the operations of nuclear power plants and their advantages and disadvantages compared to other types of power plants.
