Povzetek
V lesu 2 preučevanih bukev ( Fagus sylvatica L . ), posekanih v urbanem okolju na JZ pobočju Rožnika v Ljubljani, smo ugotovili vsebnost celokupnih fenolov v ksilemskih tkivih, nastalih kot odziv na mehansko poškodbo. Raziskali smo, katera poranitvena tkiva vsebujejo večji delež celokupnih fenolov. Pripravljene vzorce smo najprej ekstrahirali v vodni raztopini 80 % metanola. Delež celokupnih fenolov smo določili spektrofotometrično po Folin-Ciocalteau-jevi metodi. Ugotovili smo, da se vsebnost celokupnih fenolov v tkivih razlikuje znotraj drevesa in med drevesoma. Pri 1. drevesu je bila vsebnost celokupnih fenolov največja v lesu reakcijske cone (283,92 mg/L), ki je razmejevala prizadeto in zdravo tkivo. V diskoloriranem lesu je bila vsebnost celokupnih fenolov najmanjša (36,39 mg/L). Povečana vsebnost celokupnih fenolov v lesu reakcijske cone je najverjetneje prispevala h kompartmentalizacijski učinkovitosti teh tkiv.

It was found out that the wood of 2 studied beech trees ( Fagus sylvatica L . ), cut down in the urban area on the south-western slope of Rožnik in Ljubljana, contained total phenols in xylem tissues, developed due to mechanical injuries. We researched which injured tissues contained a larger portion of total phenols. To determine this we extracted samples in water solution of 80 % methanol. The share of total phenols was determined spectrophotometrically using the Folin-Ciocalteau method. The content of total phenols in tissues of the 2 studied beeches differed depending on the tree and the tissue. In both the trees, the content of total phenols in the sapwood was decreasing as the height of the patterns alongside the tree was increasing. In the first tree, the content of total phenols was the highest in the wood of reaction zone (283.92 mg/L) separating the injured and healthy tissues. The content of total phenols was the lowest (36.39 mg/L) in the discolored wood. The increased content of total phenols in the wood of the reaction zone most probably contributed to compartmentalizing efficiency of these tissues. |
