Zbrane podatke smo računalniško obdelali s programom Microsoft Office Excel in jih predstavili v diplomski nalogi.

Sekundarni naslov: THE ROLE OF NURSING CARE PROVIDERS IN THE TREATMENT OF CHILDREN AND ADOLESCENTS WITH MENTAL DISORDER
Sekundarni povzetek: ABSTRACT Theoretical introduction: Children and adolescents can have various mental disorders at the beginning of their lives, which are quickly recognized or hidden and therefore their recognition is significantly more difficult. When dealing with such children or adolescents, communication and trust between health care providers is of utmost importance. Early detection and treatment is a challenge for every individual. The purpose of the research was to define the role of nursing care providers in the treatment of children and adolescents with mental disorders. The goals were to define the characteristics of the communication of nursing care providers when dealing with children and adolescents with mental disorders, to investigate the early recognition of signs and symptoms of mental disorders in children and adolescents by health professionals, and to highlight the most important types of assistance in providing comprehensive medical care for children and adolescents with mental disorders disorder. Method: The research was based on a quantitative research approach and a descriptive method of work. The primary data for the analysis was obtained using the survey technique. The first part of the survey included demographic data (age, gender, length of service, education). Next, we asked the respondents about the importance of identifying children and adolescents with a mental disorder, what their personal opinion is about children and adolescents who are "different", and about their role in society if they recognize a child or adolescent with a mental disorder. With the help of the Likert scale, we wanted to determine the degree of agreement regarding communication with a child or adolescent in mental distress, the degree of agreement regarding the recognition of a child or adolescent with mental distress, and to determine the degree of agreement regarding helping a child or adolescent with mental distress. 106 respondents took part in the survey. We used an online survey to collect data. It took place using the open source application for online surveys on the domain www.1ka.si. We sent the survey questionnaires by e-mail to acquaintances employed in nursing and asked them for further intervention (snowball system). We processed the collected data using the Microsoft Office Excel program and presented them in a diploma thesis. A review of professional literature and scientific articles in the bibliographic databases CINAHL, PubMed, COBISS and Google Scholar was also a source of data. Results: The sample included 106 respondents employed in nursing at the primary, secondary and tertiary levels. With regard to verbal and non-verbal communication, 97% of nurses agree that both have a great impact on children and adolescents. A total of 105 (99%) respondents agree that trust is very important when communicating with a child or adolescent. 101 (95%) health care providers always give the child and adolescent time to get used to it, and 105 (99%) agree that communication is extremely important for the child and adolescent. In 102 (96%) cases, they would like to gain trust from the child or adolescents, 99 (93%) of them would listen to the child or adolescents if they opened up and try to give them advice. 105 (99%) respondents agree that listening is key when helping a child or adolescents, and the same percentage agree that recognition and guidance are key. 97 (92%) respondents would immediately call the competent services in dire need, 101 (95%) respondents would not leave a suicidal child alone. 102 (96%) respondents answered that they are always ready to help in times of need, while 105 (99%) answered that they would never turn their backs on a child or adolescents in need. Discussion: Nurses play an important role in the treatment of children and adolescents with mental disorders. The recognition and detection of children and adolescents with mental disorders and their appropriate treatment is important. It is also very important to realize that trust and communication with the child and adolescent play a key role in treatment.
