Sekundarni povzetek: The process of testing web applications is one of the key processes when it comes to development of high quality web-based software. High quality web-based software is adorned with quick responsiveness, bandwith, reliability, safety and a possibility to widen the application under a certain workload. In my diploma I focused on the implementation of automatic performance tests. Performance tests are designed for recognizing bottlenecks in the system, for assuring a starting-point for future testing, and for determining accordance with performance goals and demands. This diploma tries to present a life model of successful web application testing and the implementation of performance tests on the web application ePero with different tools for automatic performance testing. It presents procedures, tools, and preparations for the implementation of automatic performance tests. Furthermore, it compares the results given by particular test scenarios. Based on those comparisons, I decided which tool is in my opinion the most appropriate for the implementation of automatic performance tests. Despite the fact that, in my diploma, I focus on the implementation of automatic performance testing of web applications, a similar approach could also be used for other types of web applications testing or for the testing of other types of software.
