In the thesis, a financial analysis of the investment in constructing a broiler chicken barn on the Braček farm was conducted. Before starting the investment, it was crucial to carefully assess whether sufficient financial resources were available. If funds are insufficient and the decision to take a loan is reached, it is advisable to explore loan options from different providers. It is also neccessary to be aware of the ability to repay the loan. When planning the investment, it is essential to primarily evaluate the economic aspects, but it is also good to consider other factors. To ensure the success of the farm, it is important to stay true to the business goals and closely monitor cash flows. If a solid plan is provided, it is advisable to implement it as soon as possible and start generating profit. Poultry farming is a vital sector that has seen significant development in recent years, which can be attributed to the biological advantages of poultry, such as their reproductive capabilities. In this research, the economics of broiler chicken farming and the financial viability of the investment using cost-benefit analysis (CBA) and net present value (NPV) were assessed. The goal was to create a financial analysis for the investment in building a broiler chicken farm. The hypothesis was that material costs would be the largest, that broiler chicken farming is economically justified, and that the investment would pay off in 8 years. The results indicate, that with an annual cash flow of 52,428.52 € and an investment amount of 426,124.3€, the investment is recouped in 12 years. The NPV at a 5.50% interest rate, with a constant annual cash flow over 20 years, amounts to 200,416.52 €. |
