Obravnavani in primerjani sta tudi dve izbrani kroniki, Ingulph's Chronicle Of The Abbey Of Croyland With The Continuations By Peter Of Blois And Anonymous Writers in The History of King Richard the Third, kjer so primerjani pogledi na dogodke in vanje vpletenih oseb.

The white rose and the red rose: a battle for the English throne |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
The period from the 13th to the 15th century was a turbulent one for England, marked first by wars with France (the Hundred Years' War) and then by a dynastic conflict between the Houses of York and Lancaster for the English throne. The beginnings of the Cousins' War can be traced back to the Hundred Years' War, and the Wars of the Roses themselves crowned a period of many years of warfare in England, this time on its own soil. The Yorks and Lancastrians were linked through the Plantagenet family, and the result of the clash for the throne was the downfall of both Yorks and Lancastrians, as the Tudors came to the throne, despite the shaky foundations of their claim to the English throne. With the Tudors, England entered a new era. The Master's thesis examines both the epilogue in the form of the Hundred Years' War, as well as the events of the Wars of the Roses and the protagonists of the civil war for the English throne: Yorks and Lancastrians, and includes the first Tudor king, Henry VII, who became the king of England after the victory at Bosworth in 1485. Two selected chronicles are also discussed and compared, Ingulph's Chronicle Of The Abbey Of Croyland With The Continuations By Peter Of Blois And Anonymous Writers and The History of King Richard the Third. |
