Sekundarni povzetek: | For detection of light in high-energy physics experiments, we need sensors capable of detecting individual photos with high efficiency and time resolution. One possibility are silicon photomultipliers, but in strongly irradiated environments their performance decreases due to damage in the crystal structure. In this master's thesis, I wanted to prepare a measurement system for determining the time resolution of silicon photomultipliers for potential future radiation experiments. It is important which electronic components are used to form the photon signal. I compared different signal amplifiers and their output signal shapes. The system is able to measure time resolution of silicon photomultipliers at different supply voltages. During the work, I optimized and evaluated the contributions to the measurement error. |
