Povzetek
Vsak dan se srečujemo s problematiko enakosti spolov na trgu dela. Gre za kompleksen problem, ki je sestavljen iz veliko različnih dejavnikov. V magistrsem delu smo proučevali mnenja žensk in moških o enakosti spolov na trgu dela v Sloveniji in ugotavljali, ali je med mnenji glede na spol možno opaziti določene razlike. Natančneje smo i raziskali, kakšen pogled imajo ženske in moški na plačne vrzeli med spoloma. Zanimalo nas je, kakšna so mnenja anketirancev o tradicionalnih vlogah glede na različne starostne skupine in glede na spol. Izhajali smo iz dejstva, da tradicionalne vloge spolov močno vplivajo na segregacijo poklicev po spolu. Proučevali smo, kako se razlikujejo mnenja o prisotnosti spolne diskriminacije na delovnem mestu glede na spol in končano izobrazbo anketirancev. Zanimalo nas je tudi, kakšen pogled imajo anketiranci na vlogo javne politike in vlade pri odpravljanju neenakosti med spoloma na delovnem mestu. Raziskava je izvedena z anketnim vprašalnikom, ki smo ga poslali zaposlenim v različnih panogah in sektorjih. Rezultati kažejo, da je možno opaziti razlike v mnenjih o enakosti spolov na trgu dela v Sloveniji glede na spol, starost in končano izobrazbo anketirancev. Ženske v povprečju menijo, da je neenakost spolov na trgu dela problem, moški pa v povprečju do problema niso opredeljeni. Glede na izobrazbo in starost se razlike v mnenjih kažejo pri moških starih med 33 in 49 let, ki ne odstopajo od tradicionalnih vlog spolov ter moških s končano več kot srednjo šolo, ki imajo nevtralen pogled na spolno diskriminacijo na delovnem mestu. Kljub temu je mnenje žensk in moških o določenih problematikah neenakosti spolov na trgu dela dokaj enotno, kar kaže na napredek in manjšanje vrzeli med spoloma. Še vedno je možno opaziti močan vpliv tradicionalnih vlog spolov, diskriminacije in pristranskosti ter močno segregacijo poklicev glede na spol.

We face an issue of gender equality in the labour market every day. It is a complex problem, made up of many different factors. In this master's thesis, we wanted to examine the opinions of women and men on gender equality in the labour market in Slovenia and to find out whether it is possible to observe certain differences between the opinions according to gender. More specifically, we wanted to explore how women and men view the gender pay gap. We were interested in respondents' views on traditional roles according to different age groups and gender. Traditional gender roles have a strong impact on occupational segregation by gender. We looked at how respondents' opinions on the presence of gender discrimination in the workplace differed according to their gender and the level of education they had completed. We were also interested in respondents' views on the role of public policy and government in tackling gender inequality in the workplace. The survey was conducted using a questionnaire sent to employees in different industries and sectors. The results show that it is possible to observe differences in opinions on gender equality in the labour market in Slovenia depending on the gender, age and educational attainment of the survey respondents. On average, women consider gender inequality in the labour market to be a problem, while men on average do not. Regarding education and age, the differences in opinion are reflected in men aged between 33 and 49, who do not deviate from traditional gender roles, and men with more than a high school education, who have a neutral view of gender discrimination in the workplace. Nevertheless, women and men are fairly united in their views on certain issues of gender inequality in the labour market, indicating progress and a narrowing of the gender gap. However, the strong influence of traditional gender roles, discrimination and bias, as well as the strong gender segregation of occupations, can still be observed. |
