Povzetek

Magistrsko delo preučuje pomen prostovoljskega dela kot podpornega dejavnika mladih na prehodu v odraslost. Izhaja predvsem iz razumevanja postmoderne družbe kot družbe tveganja, kjer prehod mladih v odraslost postaja vedno bolj ogrožen in poln različnih psihosocialnih izzivov. Prostovoljsko delo predstavlja enega izmed podsistemov, ki lahko pomembno vpliva na lažji prehod mladih v odraslost, njihov osebnostni razvoj in razvoj poklicne kompetentnosti. S priključitvijo v prostovoljsko delo mladi prevzamejo aktivno vlogo pri soustvarjanju skupnosti ter sodelovanju v ožjem in širšem družbenem sistemu. Prostovoljsko delo lahko podpira njihov osebnostni razvoj in razvoj poklicne kompetentnosti, saj vpliva na posameznikovo samozavest, samospoštovanje ter občutja kontrole nad njihovim življenjem, sreče in zadovoljstva z življenjem. Hkrati lahko ob neustrezni podpori prostovoljske organizacije in izpostavljenosti slabim pogojem prostovoljskega dela prostovoljsko delo postane dejavnik tveganja za doživljanje različnih psihosocialnih stisk. Namen dela je dobiti boljši vpogled v podporne dejavnike, ki se vzpostavijo pri mentorsko vodenem prostovoljskem delu mladih med 18. in 29. letom, ter razumeti, kakšen pomen imajo različni elementi prostovoljskega dela za osebnostni razvoj in razvoj poklicne kompetentnosti mladih. V raziskavi sem uporabila kvalitativni raziskovalni pristop in delno strukturiran intervju kot tehniko zbiranja podatkov. Z delom želim prispevati k boljšemu razumevanju povezave mentorsko vodenega prostovoljskega dela z osebnostnim razvojem in razvojem poklicne kompetentnosti mladih na prehodu v odraslost ter večji razvidnosti elementov prostovoljskega dela, ki se v tem kontekstu izkazujejo kot podporni.

Sekundarni povzetek: The mester's thesis deals with the importance of volunteer work as a supporting factor for young people in the transition to adulthood. It comes primarily from the understanding of postmodern society as a society of risk, where the transition of young people to adulthood is becoming more and more endangered and full of various psychosocial challenges. Voluntary work represents one of the subsystems that can significantly influence the easier transition of young people into adulthood, their personal development and the development of professional competence. By participating in voluntary work, young people take an active role in co-creating the community and participating in the narrower and wider social system. Voluntary work can have a supportive effect on their personal development and the development of professional competence from the point of view of influencing the individual's self-confidence, self-esteem, the feeling of control over their life, the feeling of happiness and satisfaction with life. At the same time, with inadequate support from volunteer organizations and exposure to poor conditions within volunteer work, volunteer work can become a risk factor for experiencing various psychosocial hardships. The purpose of the work is to get a better insight into the supporting factors that are established within the mentor-led voluntary work of young people between the ages of 18 and 29, and to understand the importance of various elements within volunteer work for personal development and the development of young people's professional competence. In the research, I used a qualitative research approach and a semi-structured interview as a data collection technique. With my work, I want to contribute to a greater understanding of the connection between mentor-led voluntary work and the personal development and development of professional competence of young people on the transition to adulthood, as well as a greater visibility of the elements within volunteer work that prove to be supportive in this context.
