Najpogostejši rodovi so javor (Acer) (24,6 %), divji kostanj (Aesculus) (18,9 %) in lipa (Tilia) (17,2 %). Prevladuje drevje srednje starosti.

Urban trees on the public surfaces in the town of Sežana |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
The aim of our survey was to create the inventory of trees growing on the areas of public use and areas of national assets; to determine their number and establish the register of trees. We were listing the following characteristics: species, circumference, diameter, age and level of injuries. In all, we have listed 787 trees from 36 different genera and 48 different species. The most common genera are maple (Acer) (24.6%), horse chestnut (Aesculus) (18.9 %) and linden (Tilia) (17.2 %). The majority of trees are middle-aged. We have also listed s large percent of badly damaged trees (48.3%). We have advised measures for 31.4% of trees; the realization of whichwould cost 32,668.79. Among troubles we emphasized poor condition of the park Stari grad and of the horse chestnuts growing there. With this questionnaire we wanted to determine human attitude to trees. The answers of 87 questioned people show that people often watch trees in the city and that large trees make people feel comfortable. The thing they miss the most are more benches, but some have also mentioned they would like longer working hours of the Botanical garden. We have established that residents of cities and surroundings are aware of the trees and their meaning, but they lack the general knowledge on how to treat the trees in the right way, that is why theyneed education and knowledge. |
