The majority of social pedagogues works in primary schools as school counselors. They are also most qualified for that position. Social pedagogues and advisory services should work together as a team, where each participant should exchange necessary information, and they all would come up with a solution. Unlike the advisory service, where the problems are solved with individual communication, the main task of the social pedagogue is communication with others, group confronting and solving of the problem. Team work among teachers and social pedagogues is the key for success. Social pedagogues should help teachers with children, who are problematic at learning and behavior. The social pedagogue must give advice in such a way, that the teacher will not feel threatened, less worthy or exposed in front of his scholars and coworkers. They must trust each other and both work for the wellbeing of the children.
In this research we used the quantitative methodology. For the quantitative data the program SPSS was used, and with its help a statistic analysis of the data was made (descriptive analysis, χ2-test, Cramer's coefficient). 93 school teachers, from schools with social pedagogues, took part in this research. I gathered the data with a questionnaire.
The data shows, that teacher most times seek help at social pedagogues because of individual scholars. Their wish is, that in the future social pedagogues would help teachers at educational and behavior problems. |
