Sekundarni naslov: Encouraging sensory perceptions of preschool children in natural environment
Sekundarni povzetek: We live in time and space where the majority of information is gathered through sight and smell. However, it is of utmost importance that we do not forget all the other senses that we have. This is in particular important for children, as their senses provide them with the first and most reliable information about the world they live in. In the following Diploma thesis I analysed individual games that encourage the senses in a natural environment and the results of interviews conducted with children before and after specific activities taking place in the forest and on the meadow. The research included children aged from 4 to 6 years. The results showed that children would like to spend more time playing outdoors. Moreover, they had very modest ideas for playing outdoors before carrying out the activity but became much more innovative and started using their imagination after finishing it. To continue, it also turned out that children had not heard about the word "senses" before the activity but were able to explain the term (within the limit of their abilities, of course) afterwards. Prior to carrying out the activities, the children chose playground as their favourite place to play, and in the end they preferred the forest and the meadow. I can conclude that children enjoyed playing in the forest and on the meadow. They gained new experience through active learning and became aware of their senses, while also improving the quality and complexity of their ideas for playing outdoors in nature.

Povzetek (ePrints): Živimo v času in prostoru, kjer večino informacij sprejemamo preko vida in sluha.
