Sekundarni povzetek: The present work focuses on Stream Visual Assessment Protocol (SVAP). In first part is presented a theory background of the protocol. River morphology, hydrologic and morphological processes and ecological structure of river corridor are described in the article. In continuation of the work there is a review of SVAP method. Description of 15 SVAP characteristics, procedure of usage and protocol worksheet are demonstrated in the paper. In the last part of the article there is an example of SVAP aplication on the corridor of Dragonja river. Twelve test assessment reaches were ecomorphological evalueted. The results of aplication are compered with results of sinthesis method, I.F.F. (Indice di Funzionalità Fluviale), and German GSGB (Gewässerstrukturgütebewertung) method. In conclusion of the present work, there are some preposals for modification SVAP.

Povzetek (ePrints): Diplomska naloga obravnava ameriško metodo za vrednotenje stanja naravnih rek Stream Visual Assessment Protocol, (SVAP). V uvodnem delu je prikazano teoretsko ozadje metode. Predstavljena je rečna morfologija, hidromorfološki procesi in ekološka struktura rečnega koridorja. V nadaljevanju dela je prikazana metoda SVAP. Opisanih je 15 ocenjevalnih karakteristik, postopek in način vrednotenja ter kartirni list. V zadnjem delu naloge je prikazana aplikacija metode SVAP na koridorju reke Dragonje. Ekomorfološko vrednotenih je bilo dvanajst testnih transektov. Prikazani so rezultati vrednotenja ter primerjava z nekaterimi drugimi morfološkimi metodami za vrednotenje rek. Ocene metode SVAP so primerjane z ocenami sintezne, I.F.F. (Indice di Funzionalità Fluviale (Indeks funkcionalnosti vodotokov)), in nemške GSGB (Gewässerstrukturgütebewertung) metode. V zaključku dela so predstavljeni predlogi za modifikacijo metode.
