The implementation of the tasks of spatial design in the 5th grade of primary school |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Theoretical part of my thesis deals with the field of spatial design referring to human intervention into nature and the beginning of visual arts. Forms of artistic expression in the area of visual arts are presented, for example installation art and land art. Further on, the thesis deals with a discussion of raising ecological awareness in pupils and making use of art classes for special purposes. Special emphasis is put on spatial design in relation to art class outside the classroom, and several lessons that include such activities are presented. Also, special artistic materials and accessories, learning methods and approaches, and further on, features of artistic motives for such tasks are mentioned as well. Psychological development of 9–11 year olds in terms of their visual arts competences is briefly summarized. In the teaching-research part of the thesis, the features of spatial design tasks outside the classroom are explored. My survey which was conducted via questionnaires has shown that pupils are very fond of learning outside the classroom, that they look forward to such activities and that they become very creative. In addition, they have proved to be highly motivated for such tasks. These activities encourage their active engagement and creativity. |
