Citizenship education in Slovenia and in countries of European Union |
Sekundarni povzetek: |
Slovenia has been independent for more than 20 years after disengaging from totalitarian grip and became full member of European Union in 2004. These changes are evident in education in bigger flexibility in curriculum, namely in civic education. I have defined citizenship concepts, I have compared civic education to patriotic education and educational system before and after Slovenian independence, I have defined the concept of citizenship in European Union. In the end I have described political and educational systems and the definition of citizenship in the school system for each country. In my thesis I have chronologically compared curriculums and text books for ethics and society, citizenship education and ethics, citizenship and homeland education and ethics for 7th and 8th class of primary school. With this I have researched the influence of the change of government and democratization on this subject which is extremely nationally predetermined. |
