Sekundarni povzetek:	The thesis presents operational planning and a case study to which this technique was applied. The case study is construction of a multi-purpose building that is being built in Novo mesto. Project planning, management and control is described. Technical report that connects the design and construction phase provides the keypoints to which the attention should be placed to, the key documents and ways to control the project by using the time and cost plans, construction logbook and quantity surveyor's report. Further, the conceptual design, structure and materials employed in the building are outlined. A detailed description of the construction contract that describes contractual sum, deadlines, penalties and bonuses is provided. The main purpose of the thesis is to create efficient operational plan for the case under consideration and its follow-up. Material plans, workforce and machinery histograms and cash flow plans were prepared. Analysis of time and cost follow-up during execution of works was carried out. The costs predicted in the planning process were compared to the contractual sum, and profits gained by the differences between design and actual quantities of material are presented. Materials' use is analysed. Effective use of a selected material (concrete) is analysed with the help of supply documents and daily control. Types of data required to establish an efficient plan are presented and useful tools to follow the project realization are discussed in the conclusions.
